Year 5 Parents/Carers Information
Class Teacher: Ms S Khanom
Teaching Assistant: Mrs J Davies
Additional Support: Mrs J Clegg, Mrs J Morris and Mrs P Nixon
READING:
Children should read their reading book band book at least three times a week. Reading records should be signed to reflect this. Children will not able to change their reading books unless it has read from beginning to end twice. Children are encouraged to read for pleasure hence they have a library book. They must also complete a reading journal homework which will be checked on every Monday.
Spelling:
Spelling homework is dependent on children’s abilities. All children will have their new spellings on Tuesdays which also is spelling test day. Children are encouraged to use the spelling frame website to assist in their learning.
Maths:
Children are very familiar with TT Rockstars and will continue to use this to support their multiplication knowledge. The same website also allows children to develop their number facts knowledge (Number Bots). Maths tests will take place every Wednesday.

Your child will have all log-in details for websites, however please contact me if there any issues.
